Understanding Yourself. Improving How You Work With Others.
Many development programmes create awareness but struggle to translate that awareness into day-to-day behaviour.
Insights Discovery provides a practical framework that helps people understand themselves, communicate more effectively, and build stronger working relationships. When combined with real workplace application, it becomes a powerful catalyst for lasting change.
At Cross Sector Coaching & Training, we use Insights Discovery as part of leadership development, team development, graduate programmes and coaching conversations — helping individuals and teams turn insight into action.
What Is Insights Discovery?
Insights Discovery is a simple yet powerful personality profiling tool based on the work of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung.
Using a short online evaluator, each participant receives a personalised profile that highlights:
- Their communication style
- Their strengths and potential blind spots
- How they prefer to work
- How they respond under pressure
- How they build relationships with others
The framework uses four colour energies:
Fiery Red
Direct, determined and action-focused.
Sunshine Yellow
Enthusiastic, sociable and persuasive.
Earth Green
Supportive, patient and relationship-focused.
Cool Blue
Analytical, organised and detail-oriented.
Everyone has access to all four energies, but in different combinations.
More Than Personal Awareness
Many people immediately recognise themselves in their Insights profile.
The real value comes from what happens next.
When people understand their own preferences and the preferences of others, they are often able to:
- Communicate more effectively
- Adapt their leadership style
- Improve collaboration
- Handle difficult conversations more confidently
- Reduce misunderstandings and conflict
- Build stronger working relationships
The result isn’t about changing who you are.
It’s about having greater choice in how you respond to different situations.
